The $6000 MP3 Player
Techno craftsman Gresso are better known for their African Blackwood mobile phones. The collection of phones are beautifully constructed out of 200 year old wood and have placed Gresso in a unique market where wooden craftsmanship meets technology.
Now, Gresso have developed their own line of MP3 players called, The Symphonia Collection. The model is again crafted from African Black wood, whilst the front panel is made of a scratch resistant 18 carat gold surface. The idea behind it's conception is for the Symphonia to be worn as a piece of jewelry rather than an MP3 on a lanyard. With this exceptional finish, this is easily achieved.
The Symphonia Collection holds 1 GB of memory and when it debuts later this year will be priced between US$4000 - $6500. At that price, I'll take six and an extra one for the maid.

It boasts impressive features such as a motion sensor, which allows users to navigate Google Maps just by turning the phone. The good-looking handset features a 3.2 inch touch screen and slide-out qwerty keyboard, so it slips easily between the two functions withouth one crowding the other.
The phone was designed by San Francisco-based designers Mike and Maaike, who worked with Google to create a pioneering mobile communications device which fulfills all of our phone, internet and search needs just as efficiently as our laptops or desktops. What does it mean for Apple, we hear you wondering out loud? Time will only tell. It's certainly the first real competitor the iPhone has faced. Whatever happens...it's got us interested. We want one. Now. - Lisa Evans

Sony Unveils New PSP Go
Sony Computer Entertainment president, Kaz Hirai, showed off the latest hand-held gaming console at a press conference in the Shrine Auditorium as a major Electronics Entertainment Expo (E3) got under way nearby in Los Angeles. Yes, Sony has unveiled a sleek next-generation hand-held videogame, movie and music gadget in a direct challenge to Nintendo’s freshly-launched DSi devices – the PSP Go.

All future PSP videogame titles will be available for digital download, skipping any need to buy software on disks, according to Sony. Additionally, hot videogame franchises including “Gran Turismo,” “Metal Gear Solid,”, and Resident Evil” are making new games tailored to the PSP Go.
The Sony PSP Go will be priced at $249 or 249 Euros respectively, once released in the United States and Europe in October; and it will be offered in Japan in November, according to Sony.

http://www.geekiegadgets.com/page/2/Get your true colors with Real Life Color Picker
In Photoshop, there’s a little pen which will copy the color settings of anything on your monitor screen so you can use it as your color in the program. Well, think of the Real Life Color Picker as … well, a real life version of just that – only for the real world.
The Color Picker can scan any color in the real world by placing the head of the pen against the object of color and pressing the scan button. Color sensors inside the pen talk to the attached RGB cartridge, which then mixes the proper proportions of red, green and blue to come up with an accurate ink color. It can then be used for artistic purposes like drawing or simply writing with it. Very cool.
I can see literally hundreds of possibilities for hobbyists – particularly scrapbookers and costumers looking to match the color of a particular garment or wallpaper sample in order to then get the right swatch to create the perfect scrap book page or costume. Or simply someone like my wife, who’s been writing in a journal non stop since she was 13 (now 42) and getting ink to suit her mood at the time.
It’s just a concept right now, but if this sucker gets funding, I can see Parker or Paper Mate picking this up just in time for school.

Zippo Style Digital Cigarette Lighter Camera
Remember the Nightfire Game of James Bond that had an Camera built into a Cigarette Lighter? This is the same spy gadget but in the real world. The Cigarette lighter itself is not functional, but the Digital Camera built inside works like any other camera.
The Zippo Style Digital Cigarette Lighter Camera has 64 MB SDRAM memory that stores 104 images (standard 640×480 resolution) or 30 images (High 1280×960 resolution). The digital images can be easily downloaded to your computer using the USB cable. The Cool Gadget is available for $45 which is not too high for a 1.3 MP camera.
Rolex Watch (Live and Let Die, 1973)
Firstly the watch could turn into a powerful electro-magnet, strong enough to deflect the path of a bullet at long range. Bond tested this out by magnetizing M's spoon, much to his annoyance. The Second feature proved to be a life saver. The bezel doubled up as a circular saw which enabled 007 to cut through the ropes that had him trapped and escape from a one-way journey into a pool of man-eating sharks.
An iconic gadget based on an iconic timepiece. The physics may be ridiculous but that's why we love Bond movies!

Kokoro concept beats to your heart
Once in a while comes along a concept that is extremely appealing to us that we can’t help but wonder about the possibilities of its impact should it ever make its way to the real world. As you all know, music is a great motivator throughout the history of mankind. How else would you explain the drums of war (literally) whenever armies step onto the battlefield last time? How about the rousing sounds of horns and trumpet blasts to raise morale of the troops (in addition to the customary leader’s speech on horseback, of course)? Well, fast forward to the modern day era and we have MP3s of our favorite artists to rouse us into action instead, albeit on the same concept. With music being the great motivator, it makes perfect sense for the ‘kokoro’ concept to be materialized - as long as the right tunes accompany the different emotional stages we go throughout the day, of course.
